Buy Garbage Disposal Online Faq

David asks…
How do I install an air gap for my dishwasher if I don’t have a garbage disposal?
Right now I have my drainage tube going up through the hole in the sink because I have no garbage disposal, so it’s just draining into the sink itself. As you can imagine it’s very ugly so I went to Lowe’s and bought an air gap to put a fancy little cap on there but I didn’t know you had to hook it into the garbage disposal. I can’t seem to get away from that.. why can’t you just simply have a dishwasher without a damn garbage disposal?! Anyways, please help, I looked everywhere online and I read you don’t Need one, but all instructions I read involve a freaking garbage disposal. I would much appreciate some help. Thanks.
Garbage Disposal Staff Says:
You need a new tailpiece with a dishwasher inlet. This attaches to the bottom of one of the sink strainers, replacing the the existing tailpiece This allows you to directly connect the dishwasher drain hose to the drain under the sink.
Make sure you route the dishwasher drain hose higher than the connection to prevent back-flow.

Laura asks…
I have a question about “microhomes” I’ve been hearing about online and on the news.?
What confuses me is that how you get water and sewage (for bathroom/kitchen/anything else that requires to be dumped on a sewer)? I understand to get water you just need a hose or something similar? Basically, can someone here give a detailed description on how a “microhome” would work “flawlessly” much like an apartment/condo/house (i.e. ready out of the box, and so on, without feeling as if living in “primitive” ages). LOL?
How and where do I buy land or whatever to place this “microhome” on to? How much would a land cost? A land enough for the house’s size (I’ve seen these microhomes from size 100 sq. ft. to 500 sq. ft. so a land needed would be just a little over those numbers then)? Does land have to be bought or can it be rented since a microhome is not permanently “installed” on the land itself, thus it is (re)movable in case the owner of a microhome decides to move the house elsewhere.
How can my trash/garbage get picked up? I know I could just go to any apartment building or anywhere there’s a garbage disposal and throw my trash (as long as there is not a note saying “no public dumping”. Right?)
Anything I missed out? Feel free to add…
Hopefully, I can contribute to help try to save the environment.

Sandy asks…
drano kitchen crystals?
i bought this for my kitchen sink, but it says on the jar, and online, that it should not be used in kitchen sinks with garbage disposal. however, i have the garbage disposal, but i hardly use it. why should drano kitchen crystals not be used on those sinks?
and if only one side of the sink has the garbage disposal, is it safe to use it on the other side/sink? would it be safe to use it in the sink in the garbage disposal as long as i dont turn on the garbage disposal for a very long time?
Garbage Disposal Staff Says:
Why do you need drano? All you are doing is pouring money down the drain. The reason is it is a mild acid that causes burns.in the garbage disposal it will be slung around and possibly get into your eyes and skin.this is not fun.a plunger is cheaper and can be reused.it will not burn you!
