I guess that depends on what you’re looking for. If you want a wet sink in it, it’ll be more. If you’re going to put a range, then it’ll need electric, so that’ll be an additional cost. What you want for a counter on it will also be a big factor. I’d say for a normal island, nothing added, formica top, about $2500. (Im in the northeast US where everything is a little more money)

What is the proper size for kitchen island light?
I am remodeling my kitchen and I will be having a 4 foot by 6 foot kitchen island. I would like to to have 2 or 3 light across pendant lighting installed above it. What is the rule for how big (height and width) it should be? Also, how many inches above the island should the lighting be?
I also would like to know has wide the lighting should be to go over a 6 foot island that will have a bar.

At least 2 feet from the bar to the light.. And with that size.. I think you should only get two unless your getting a bar because you want one light at one end one in the middle and one over the bar..

Where can I find a kitchen island ready assembled?
Interested in more kitchen storage and want to buy a ready assembled island cart, large. Unable to find one, not so mechaniclally inclined. Any suggestions where I can find one assembled?

Many places will assemble things for a fee. Unfortunately, the best prices are usually found online. Maybe a friend can help you assemble one. They’re not as hard as they seem.
You might also try www.craigslist.com for the city closest to you, as people selling such items usually sell them already assembled.
