Who are some of the best Rock or Rock/pop singers?

Hey, trying to break out a little bit of my comfort zone musically. I’ve always had kind of high vocal standards for the singers I like, and this has led me to stick mostly to Pop with some excursions into Latin music, and mostly female singers (can give examples if wanted). Even so, a lot of the people I hear on the radio I don’t think have great voices and seem pretty interchangeable to me (Although after seeing Idol, I can at least appreciate they can sing more or less on pitch )

Anyway, I’ve been listening recently to some great acoustic guitar music (Rodrigo y Gabriela), and it makes me think about the kind of music I’m missing out on not really listening to Rock (really missing out on some great guitar playing too!) I have this stupid stereotype that Rock singers can’t sing well (like just singing loud and not well, or having a voice that sounds like a garbage disposal full of gravel), and I really want to be proven wrong!

So what kind of suggestions am I looking for? Rock (or hybrid) groups that have great lead singers. Just to give you an example, when I was younger, I listened to a lot of Queen, and still am impressed by what Freddie Mercury was able to do vocally. So I’d like to hear your suggestions for other good artists who would be just as impressive as singers (male or female)

garbage disposal leaking..please answer my question as I am worried?

I put about 15 very small clam shells in the disposal cause I remember reading it was ok to put bones in as they sharpen the blades so I thought clam shells would do the same thing.

It ground them up but them started not draining. It was slousing water out of the drain.

I looked under sink and it was all soaked. Taking stuff out and turning it on I noticed a stream of water shooting out the side I think where it meets the two halves perhaps.

Is this a problem that is fixable like a seal or is the plastic broken and it all needs replaced.

when someone comes from my apartment, will they be able to see some kind of shell residue under the blades (they is nothing on the blades down the drain).

If they charge me about how much will it cost for another one. Generally they do not use the best as it is subsidized housing. I am disabled and I don’t have the money if it is too much. what might it run for another one.

thanks and the clams broke it right or not?? what about the seal or the plastic question and the residue (that is 4 parts to my query)

if it is the seal, is that pretty easy to replace..I have a brother who maybe can fix it but I don’t want him to make it worst..it is hard to do

I used to have this cook book, and it got ruined when my neighbor that shared an opposite kitchen wall across from me in my old apartments decided to try to put two pots of old leftovers (both tomatoe based, I think one was chili), the pulp from an electric juicer,and one small house plant into the garbage disposal and backed up the drained and at four in the morning everything he put in was shooting out of my kitchen sink. It flooded all of my counter on that side, everything and tons of oily greasy leftover food water flooded my kitchen and even seeped into my fridge.
Well my cook book was lot in that horrible night, I don’t have the money for a new one.

I need my chicken pot pie recipe from that book, and the pastry crust recipe from that book. I don’t have money for a new book. Could anyone give me the recipes? I am having family over for dinner tonight and I only have ingredient to make that dish and it will be enough to feed to everyone. Or if anyone has a really really simple chicken pot pie recipe, I mainly need the part on how to make the creamy sauce I know how much chicken veggies and cheese to put in. And I don’t remember the pastry crust recipe, and I don’t remember baking temp. I need to get a head start on the pastry crust, because I have a ton of stuff to do. I will most definatley vote best answer for anyone who give me a recipe or if I get the exact one I want will be best answer. A million thanks.

That is the link to the cook book I used to have, it was very loved… I want those recipes or any other veration of the same book will do.
